Everest Poker Review
Best Everest Bonus
Everest could belong in the Ghetto Traffic category if it wasn’t for the serious bonuses this poker room offers on a regular basis. Currently the sign-up bonus is $300 and often goes to $500. As soon as you sign up and start playing, you’ll accrue Summit Points which convert into your Welcome Bonus cash as you play. Upon your first deposit you will also earn a Freeroll Token which will give you entry into the New Depositors $1000 Freeroll which takes place twice a week. The only stipulation is that you have to make your first deposit within the first week of your sign-up.
Everest Loyalty
Once you’re through the Everest doors, they try to look after you well with the Everest Poker VIP Summit Club. This loyalty programme is simple, player friendly and rewarding, including perks such as open enrolment for all players, cash rewards up to $5,000 a month, bonus Summit Points up to 750% a month and priority customer service. The system is tiered depending on the number of Summit Points you earn starting at Base Camp from 500 points and increasing to The Summit at 50,000 points. Benefits last depending on your level e.g. The Death Zone (one below The Summit) is where you will keep your benefits for 3 months regardless of points accrued in that time. Points are fairly generously given with a point awarded for every $1 collected in rake (inc fractional points), so you’re looking at earning 3 summit points per hand which soon mounts up.
The Everest Room
As mentioned above, Everest does have a high volume of traffic too. This is largely due to its international reach – despite not accepting U.S players. Everest is truly multi-national, operating services across 15 different languages, covering practically the whole of Europe as well as Japan, The Nordics and so on. As such, this room has a solid player base with a lot of potential for growth and a software system that supports their multi-lingual offering smoothly and at a high quality.
Representative of their penetration in many different countries are the pros they have representing them. The Everest pro team is international including players from Italy, Japan, Finland, Spain and more. Their status also means they hold many country-specific tournaments and feature the Everest European Championship too.
Everest Games
This is where Everest loses a few brownie points. At present it only offers Hold’em and Omaha and the tournaments, albeit international, are a mainly smaller than some of the big poker rooms they compete with. That said, Hold’em games at Everest are renowned for some seriously loose and reckless play. This style of play was traditionally present at the medium stakes tables but since the introduction of high stakes games, the maniac play has worked its way upwards. So if you are a skilled player, you are likely to make a tidy profit by spending some time at the Everest tables. They put on good promotions too – currently celebrating their 5 year anniversary, they are putting on a $500k Gurantee, a $5000 Refer-a-friend Freeroll, 5 Billion Hands promo in which every player dealt in the 5 billionth hand (anticipated to be reached in the summer anniversary season ’09) will get $5,000 plus if you’re dealt quad 5’s, Everest will give you 55,555 Summit Points. Not stopping there, by playing everyday just enough to earn 5 Summit Points each day for one month, you’ll qualify for a $5,000 Freeroll. Your hard earned points will go further during the anniversary season as all merchandise will have anywhere from 5 to 50% off. All in all it’s a pretty good 5th birthday to be part of.
So, visit Everest Poker today to pick up a killer bonus, some generous promotions and a chance to take your game global.
