The 2009 WSOP Final Contestants


 Up for grabs is 27 million dollars for the winner of the coveted WSOP events. And who is at the final table? It is none other than nine skilled players who have been drawn from various states. In this game, there is only one rule: know how to play the poker game and make money, simple. Age and other factors become insignificant on this platform. With only experience and good poker skills, any person is eligible to play a part in the preliminaries.

The following is a brief description of players who made it to play at the top of the final table last year in November.

Darvin Moon:   He is a part time poker player who comes from Maryland. He is a humble business man who in a flopped set gained the honor to play at the final challenge. He had contended in the No-Limit Hold ‘Em category.

In the WSOP challenges, he has shown great mastery of the game and is quite a potential person. Who knows, perhaps he will prove his fluency by scooping the prize money of the top award.

Kevin Schaffel:   In his effort to withdraw from active employment, he hopes do so with a lumpy amount of cash. At 51 years old, his grand skills are typical of his long experience in playing poker. He is proud that he will be the biggest winner ever in the final table. This is yet to materialize as he challenges the current rivals who are worthy of their statuses.

Phil Ivey:   He has established himself as an icon in the poker world. He is one of the famous names that will be playing this time. It is wise not to miscalculate his potential.

Antoine Saout:   Saout has been witnessed to play a hard game and won unscathed in the challenges. He has beat several competitors in online games to position himself as one of the regions best players.

James Akenhead:   He has made a comeback after he lost an opportunity in 2008 to scoop the bracelet. Now he has more to make up for the show he missed back then.
